Legal Question in Employment Law in Wisconsin

Employment harrassment?

In summary, I was grilled by two officials in the gov't office I work in; what it boils down to is they are trying to get info. on an employee I believe they want to ''fire.'' This happened almost 1 month ago and almost daily I am asked for updates on this person. This employee found out I was the one who was sharing the info. and I have to work in the same office as her which is VERY uncomfortable and is causing me health issues (headaches/stomachaches, etc.) Is this a form of harassment? The supervisors are doing nothing to ''reprimand'' this employee nor remove me from the situation (not the 1st time this has happened) but I am almost ill every day not knowing what the outcome of the day will be. I have asked to be transferred, but no-one is speaking to me. My boss seems angry at me for sharing info. I thought it was my duty to share when asked AND I was grilled for the info. by an Attorney and City Administrator. I did not ask to become involved in this, I was ordered to and now I am in a situation that again, is making me physically ill for fear of retaliation from this person. Oh, and by the way, I have to sit with this person ALONE in the office. Short of quitting my job, which I cannot afford, do I have ANY rights?

Re: Employment harrassment?

Since it seems that you are a public employee, there are simply too many questions which need answering before someone can give you an informed opinion.
