Legal Question in Family Law in Wyoming

DFS entering home

I would like to know if DFS can at anytime come into your home. Take picturers and then make false accuations about drug abuse. The young lady that was staying with us was home less and had a 2 year old child and got cought with drugs in her locked vehicle and our child was removed at this time. NO search warrents were given to me or my wife when DFS came in to our home. Is it OK for them to come as they please, with out any notification. This is about the 3 rd time that DFS has been here and we were cleared of any and all wrong doing the times before. I know people with houses 3 times dirty then ours and they still have their kids. What is the law that DFS goes by searching a house without concent? And can they do it at any time?

Re: DFS entering home

Unless your are under a current court order involving

DFS with your family, you do not have to open your door

to DFS when they knock. If they wish to have your home

searched, they should being law enforcement with a warrant.

If the young lady who was living with you was living with

you as a foster child, you may have given blanket consent

for DFS to enter your home at any time without a warrant.

If the young lady who was living with you gave DFS permission

to enter your home, they could do so legally and without notice

to you.
