Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India

Hi,

Our building secretary has some personal problem with our maid and her husband, when her husband was employed as watchman for our apartment. Later they were removed from work. But our maid is still working with us as our daughter's babysitter. She come to work daily at 10 and leaves around 7, after we return home. during the day time sometimes whe will be playing with our daughter in the apartment's parking area or visits other houses in the apartment (because people want to play with our daughter or talk with her). One night there was a theft in our building secretary's house. He suspected our innocent maid, though he had no proofs. He logged a complain against our maid and even police was not able to find anything or prove anything. We fully trust our maid and we allowed her to resume her duties. But now the secretary is try to restrict her from visiting the parking area or other floor other than our floor. And humiliating her now and then. What is the best we can do to stop him from harassing the maid?

Contact a NGO working for workers right and they will file case on behalf of your maid against harassment and defamation

it is against fundamental right. you will be contact to labour department (commissioner) and follow also advise of above its
