Dear Sir,
Is creating a fake account on facebook illegal even if no criminal activity was done, no impersonation, harrassment and no such thing was done, just gave false personal infomation without any intent to mislead or deceive anyone, Is this illegal and punishable under 66A IT act, Is fake account on facebook illlegal in itself OR would be if some criminal intent and activity was there?? Please Clarify. 66A says "to mislead the addressee about the origin of such messages is punishable with 3 years imprisonment" what does it really mean? Is fake account illegal in itself even with no criminal activity?
