Legal Question in Family Law in Zimbabwe

I am curious to know. A child of 2 years old resides with her mother. The fathers name is not on the birth certificate and has no rights according to the mother. What are the fathers rights seeing as he is not allowed contact with his child and has not got his name on her birth certificate? Is the mother of the child allowed to sue for maintenance and not allow the father to see the child. In Zimbabwe
