Legal Question in Family Law in India

I got married on 10th July 2014. My husband got divorce on 12th April 2014. At the time of marriage we didn't get the judgement copy so we couldn't register our marriage. After marriage I was informed that the judge got transferred so there is a delay in getting the judgement copy. Later on the judgement copy came with a different date which is dated after 2 months of my marriage date. Now I am confused. Is it legal to register my marriage with date 10th July 2014 or some other date post to judgement date? But my husband is having a letter signed by the ex wife for the settlement towards divorce which signed before the marriage date

1 Answer from Attorneys

1) The order of the court is the date of nullified having legally divorced.

2) Any letters signed are not legal in the eye of law.

3) Marriage after the divorce decree will only be a valid marriage.

4) To avoid complications, better register after the date of divorce decree order.
