Legal Question in Family Law in India

Sir, i am residing in Thirukazukundram, Kancheepuram district, can i file a divorce petition in Chennai High Court. Will they accept the petition to be filedin HC. My residence is in Thirukazukundram. My wife ran away from my house with in 45 days of marriage. She is residing with her parents at Hosur, Tamilnadu. All the talks for solving the problem through family elders have failed. Basically for both of us this is second marriage (Both of us are divorcee earlier) Now they have filed a Maintenance case in HOSUR district court. I am waiting for one year to complete for filing the divorce petition in Chengalpattu District court. But my advocate alerted that she may transfer the divorce case to her district court (HOSUR). They are planning to kill me if i reach HOSUR. So the safety for me is filing the Divorce case in Chennai, High Court. Please advice me how and what are the procedures for filing the case in Chennai High court ? My residence is in Thirukazukundram which is 16Kms to the Chengalpattu district court and 60 kms to Chennai High Court. For avoiding case transfer to HOSUR i have to file the case in Chennai, High court. One of my friend says that for filing the case in Chennai High Court i should be a resident of Chennai. Is it true ? Please advice me how to file the case in Chennai High Court ?

you cannot file a divorce case in the high court .File it wherwever you want to in case she moves the supremecourt for the transfer of the case you can oppose the same .for further clarification contact 9312411481
