Legal Question in Intellectual Property in India

I stay at Airoli, Navi Mumbai. Between the building I reside & the neighbouring building have a Common compound wall in between.

Our society is planning to fix a fabricated grill work above the wall. Can the other society object this work legally??

They say that their builder has built the compound wall as their building is constructed before our building.

Can they stop us from doing so.....???

Dear Sir / Madam,

Yes, the neighbouring Society can object legally to the erection of a fabricated grill work above the common wall. The Managing Committee of the two Societies should deliberate, accordingly decide upon the need for the fabricated grill work to be erected above the common compound wall and agree to equally share the costs. The matter should be minuted in the Managing Committee meeting of the Society.
