Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I am a Company Secretary, working with one of the listed company since last 8 months. As per my appointment letter and confirmation letter upon resignation I will have to serve 30 days notice period. Now when I have resigned, my boss is saying that, notice period was typed wrongly 30 days instead of 60 days, and hence I have to serve the 60 days notice period. Is there any way out for this problem?

Dear Sir / Madam,

Your boss' contention of a typographical error in your Appointment / Confirmation Letter is baseless and legally invalid. I see it being done by your boss so as to dissuade you from pursuing the new better opportunity you have in hand. Remain firm, but polite in requesting the Company to settle your full and final dues on the last working date in the Company, which is the 30th day from the date of your having served the notice of resignation to the Company.

Regards,
