Dear Sir / Madam,

Yes. As far as the job has no conflicting interest with your full-time private sector employment, you are allowed to work as a freelancer during your free time. In India, unless the terms and conditions specifically prohibit an employee from taking up any other part time employment or work as a freelancer, the concerned employee is entitled to work as a freelancer, after office hours. To cite an example, I may have a full-time job as a legal executive in a Company, but after office hours, I can be a disc-jockey in a discotheque or night club, since there is no conflicting interest of any nature whatsoever in the two jobs.

Regards,
