Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

Hello,

My grandmother left a will which states that a parcel of land has to be divided among six of her children. One of the six children died but had no wife or kids. The executor of the will told the remaining five that he will take the said piece of land (no discussions were held to decide this). In addition, he has not followed the instructions of the will since drawings obtained from the Regional Corporation shows unequal portions assigned to the six children. He is trying to get the land passed illegally. Please help. What steps can the other parties take to ensure the instructions of the will are followed?

Anyone/all of the beneficiaries can take action against the executor to distribute the estate according to the Will.

Steps 1 Establish his/her share

2 Write the executor and demand his/her share

3 File an action in the courts to determine what is his/her share.

Did the child who die, died before or after the grandmother?

Did the Will say the land goes to the children in joint tenancy or equal share?
