power bill

can al. power make me pay a bill left owed on a second home we have that a family member lived in?the power was in their name,but i was listed as a contact person. they also purchased a big screen tv with a service contract that i am being charged for. can you help me?

If you were not on the big screen purchase and the power was not in your name then I don't think APCO can make you pay. Ask them to put in writing why they say you owe this.

Are they threatening to shut off your power or report this on your credit report?

In the meantime, I would definitely check your credit reports and be on the lookout for any type of collection activity.

Let me know what APCO says - that just doesn't sound right to me for APCO to do that....
