Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Custody

I have had costody of my children for 12 years. Last year I turned over custody to my ex-husband. My son decided he wanted to live with his dad. My daughter decided she wanted to go back to home town and live with her Grand mother to b near friends she grew up with. I allowed kids to do what they wanted as to my daughter is 15 and my son 13. Now my son has informed me his dad has been drinking every night and getting physical with his girl friend. He also snatched my son by the hair of the head and scared him. What should I do to get my son back in my household? I have joint custody now. My ex has primary physical custody.

Re: Custody

If you ex-husband is not willing to let your son go back to live you with, you will need to file to change custody with the courts.

Re: Custody

You can file to change custody. The wishes of the children should be considered by the court.
