Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

I was given divorce papers by a process server but there not mine I didn't stop or say anything to the server he said my name which wasn't me and dropped the papers on the ground so what do I do I don't want someone else to lose out cause the process server got the wrong person

Contact the attorney for the Plaintiff, you should be able to see that information on the last page of the complaint for divorce. Tell them what happened, they can then contact their process server.

You may also want to notify the clerk's office. While the plaintiff's attorney should fix the problem if you notify him or her, there are some lawyers who might not be willing to go through the hassle. Call the circuit clerk and make them aware of the situation.
