Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama
My husband whom I have been separated from for over 1.5 years, filed for dissolution of marriage, and I received these papers but did not respond, because we have no property that needs to be split. He recently found out that I am engaged and now is acting like he's going to try to hold off the divorce. He's in the military and lives in CO, I live in AL. What can I do?! I cannot afford an attorney by any means, and just want a divorce. I'm not asking for anything in the marriage, there are no kids or marital property.

I would suggest you check with the court where he filed (Alabama or where ever) and see if the case has been withdrawn. If it has not, then you should respond to the papers and deny any cause for which the marriage has failed but admit that it is futile to have counseling for reconcilliation. And then ask for a court date.
