Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Protection Orders

I had a protection order against my boyfriend, but the order did not prevent him from contacting me or coming near me. I did not feel that this order of protection was in anyway helping me so I did what they told me to do and typed a letter stating why and that I was dropping it. I received a letter for a hearing on Friday Jan.17, for a 30 minute hearing. Bud Turner, Circuit Judge. What will this hearing consist of? The lady at the court house said I will state to the judge why I want to drop this. I thought I did that? They did not seem concerned before why now?

Can you be of help to me?

Sincerely,

Angela

Re: Protection Orders

Can't really help you with this. You need to speak with an attorney in that area who has had some experience with hearings in front of this judge. good luck.
