Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama
My ex has visitation ever other weekend with our son and has him 4 weeks in the summer . My ex tells me that I can not take my son on our 10 day family vaction because it will interfer with his weekend He has already had his 4 weeks this summer. Can he hold me in contempt of our court order if I take my son on our vaction? Either way if I plan a vaction it will interfer with a weekend. He is trying to be difficult and cause unneccessary problems. What do I do?

Schedule your vacation around his visitation. If you take the vacation during a time in the summer when you have the child, you can then schedule your vacation from a monday to the friday when you are to return the child to him. He can hold you in contempt if you violate a court order. Schedule the 10 days around your weekend.
