Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alabama

I signed contracts with American Shingles to roof two houses. I signed the two insurance checks and they said they would get the Mortgage companys to sign. They deposited the checks in Suntrust Bank in Georgia and never did the work. They went out of business and Suntrust will not return my money.

What can I do to get my money back, approx $9,000

Get a Georgia Attorney and try to collect from the bank. You might also look at a personal action against the people who owned the company. Go see a lawyer.
