Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama

I was recently involved in a traffic accident. The other party was found to be at fault. Unfortunatley for me she was without insurance. I filled out the required state for and advised that I did not release this person from responsibility for my property damage. Will the state recover the damages for me or do I need to file a civil suit?

If you have uninsured/underinsured coverage on your policy, you should make a claim with your insurance company for any injuries you received (your policy may or may not cover property damage). If you do not have underinsured/uninsured coverage, then you will need to file a civil suit or attempt to settle with the other driver out of court
