Legal Question in Workers Comp in Alabama

Workers Comp: What are my rights re: lost wages/ben/vac/etc?

I am trying to find out if I have any right to recover lost wages/benefits/vacation pay, and/or to obtain any compensation for the loss of my good credit standing due to my injury and workers comp not allowing me to receive additional monies/weekly through my union. Also, I would like to know the extent of Workers Comp's liabilty for any additional care I may need for this injury in the near and distant future. I sustained an inguinal hernia, which the surgeon commented was ''the worst case he'd ever seen,'' which resulted in a permanent mesh implant to hold my intestines in place.

Under the Alabama workers compensation act, you have the right for up to 300 weeks disability payments based on 2/3 of your average weekly wage. If your insurance carrier grossly violated your rights in withholding payment, treartment, etc you may have a claim for outrage. Workers Comp (your employer &/or insurance carrier)is liable for all future health care related to the on the job injury as long as it is authorized by workers comp. 334-678-7780
