Child's right to choose

At what age can a child in Alabama,that was adopted by grandparents at young age, choose to live with Mother in Tennessee without the consent of adoptive grandpaents. The child is 14 years od age.

In Tennessee, the preference of a 14 year old would carry significant weight, although not be the sole consideration, in deciding any change in custody. Whatever court gave the grandparents custody would have to be petitioned for a change in custody at this time.
