Re: Trademarking a profession

Let's be sure of our definitions: You "trademark" a name or logo, like your brand name. This is in conrast to a "patent" of an idea or invention where you would own the "whole idea," so to speak. So, you probably cannot patent the idea of a dog whisperer because the "cat is out of the bag" on that one. But,you could trade name your particular company name, e.g. "Barking Dog Whisperer" with your sylized script and/or art or design for the trademark. And this is important. It is your name for goodwill (your customer base) and your brand for business value. We can do this for you - do it all the time - if you like.
