Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Arizona

My friend has an interesting case right now. He and his wife are currently getting a divorce, and she has a restraining order on him. They told him that along with not being able to be within xx number of yards from her, he was also not allowed to comment on anything she posts on the internet website they both use. Now he also visits my internet news site and she has just come there herself and started posting some very nasty talk about him and daring him to answer back. He doesn't answer, but my question is that doesn't this go against his First amendment rights?

Huh. Things sure are different in the electronic age! But seriously, the only thing the judge is prohibiting him from doing, if I understand you correctly, is to communicate with her. That apparently includes through the Internet, such as posting comments to comments. Otherwise he can say and write whatever he wants, so long as it is not of a threatening nature or defamatory or other limited exceptions.
