Legal Question in Technology Law in Arizona

Can I copy a copyright software CD, if the company has gone out of business and I have not had any luck locating them? I would like to distribute the copied CD to studuents for use in their studying material.

Probably not, since someone somewhere probably still owns the rights. Of course, there is an educational exception to copyright that you may fall into.
