Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

The Quiet Counsel

Have been represented for almost 2 years in a divorce where twice a mediating judge indicated we should settle within 60 days (that was almost a year ago), this hasn't happened! Counsel will not answer my calls, my letters, has recently twice told me they would be in touch with me and have not. I called the court only to find out a hearing is scheduled in late May and no one from my counsel's office has notified me! Is this accepted practice. They still have money in their account from me. Is it too late to seek other counsel. I am completely taken aback by their behaviour.

Re: The Quiet Counsel

Your attorney's behavior is not acceptable. Your attorney should respond to your calls and letters. Further your attorney should inform you of court dates. If there is a balance on your retainer it should be refunded to you when you switch attorneys.
