Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

My step daughter is pregnant and fears for the child's safety from the father who was recently arrested when he admitted to the police he was trying to kill her. She already has an order of protection. Other than not naming him on the birth certificate, What steps can she take to prevent him from having right to the child in the future?

She may want to consider terminating his rights, or filing to ensure he has no parenting time. It is very difficult to get a court to order a parent have no access or limited access. I believe seeking a termination may be her better option, but obviously I'd need much more detail about the case. We offer free consultations for up to 30 minutes.
