Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona

deportation

My husband has a working permit. He was in prison for the past nine months. He was released from prison march,12.He signed a deportation sheet and hes been in an immigration facility since his release from prison. He's waitting for I'm not sure if it's a hearing or his courtdate. If he already had a working permit can there be a chance he could stay? Pay a bond, maybe? I don't know what I should do. Is he supposed to have a lawyer before any hearing or courtdates?..I would really appreciate it if you could give me a little advice as soon as you could. Thank You.

Re: deportation

Ofcourse he needs to get an attorney. How did he get the work authorization? If he is eligible for some relief...he could be bonded out. Even if he can not be bonded out, he would be given an opportunity to present his relief infront of the immigration judge at the detention center.

Re: deportation

You need to consult an immigration attorney immediately in order to determine whether your husband may qualify for any relief from deportation. It is impossible to give you a definite answer without knowing more details.
