Legal Question in Employment Law in Arizona

I had an accident at the beggining of my shift at work that was due to faulty equipment. My employer cheek swabbed me right after the accident. I then finished my shift and was suspended after my shift was over for a week without pay. What are my rights here? Shouldnt they have just suspended me on the spot? Should I report them to OSHA under the act of 1970 for them knowing making me work with faulty equipment?

I'm not really understanding why they swabbed your cheek (obtained a buccal skin sample). You have a good case for them putting you in danger by permitting you to work on faulty equipment if they knew it was faulty and the risk of injury was greater than the benefit of continued use. I don't handle employment law, but I would recommend finding a good employment lawyer. Best of luck!
