terminating lease
My apartment is uninhabitable and unsafe. my neighbors harass on a regular basis and it was robbed. I need to break my lease legally without any negative consegquences and I need to know what steps to take.

If you are in Delhi , India , then under Delhi Rent Control Act , you can apply in appropriate provision of law informing the court that the property is in diaplated condtion and if the court is satisfied , it will direct the tenant to vacate the property , BUT the catch is , after repair or reconstruction the proportionate area has to be given back to the tenant . This is the position in Delhi.
