Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

If I want to add my girlfriend to my home title, and also keep me on title what document in Arizona should I use? I've been told a Waranty Deed, but when I

read the document, it almost appears that I'm giving her the property vs. just adding her to title.

Please advise. Thank you.

I recommend that you use a "quit claim" deed, however, I caution you to consider the consequences of what you propose to do. You are indeed making a gift to her if you deed the property to her and you as joint owners. Secondly, you should have a written agreement which sets forth the terms and conditions of your agreement and what happens in the case of unemployment, accidents, incapacity, death and disagreement. What happens when you are nolonger boyfriend and girlfriend. Good intentions can go awry.
