Legal Question in Family Law in Arkansas

Child's legal name

After being missing for several years, I found out that my son had been taken to Arkansas by non biological grand parents without my knowledge. He is registered in school under a false surname. The school has been shown legal documents stating my son's legal name. The school district has refused to change his name. Is this legal?

I don't know any Arkansas law.

Are you saying he was stolen?

Change his name?

Have you called the police?
