Legal Question in Traffic Law in Arkansas

Car accident in Little Rock, Arkansas.

I was involved in an accident about a week and a day ago. In this accident, I was taking a left on to a two way road. Directly infront of the drive the road turns into 3 lanes- 2 west bound and 1 east bound. A person (going west) stoped in the far left lane and and let several cars out including myself. Once into the east bound lane, I was struck by another vehicle. (my driverside bumper and her driverside bumper) this person struck me b/c she was passing the stopped car on his left (keep in mind there is not a lane or a passing spot here) Once officers were on scene they had us move our vehicles. I was not issued a citation, the other driver was. I was told by the officer ''she works for an attorney''. Now we are dealing w/ our insurance companies. Her insurance company told me that I was at fault, and it looked as if they would not be paying any damages. My concern is, This is my first accident, and I don't know what I can do. Is it possiable to do anything? I was also told that she was fighting her citation (improper passing). Please, any information to help me would be apreciated!

Thank You for your time and help,

Melissa

Re: Car accident in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The first thing you need to do is get a police report of the accident. Look at it and see what it says about who did what.

Also, you need to contact your insurance agency. They may be able to help you deal with the other agency.

Or, you can contact an attorney about helping you with this. That could help you in dealing with the other insurance agency.
