Legal Question in Technology Law in Australia

Non Disclosure with already existing ideas out on the net

Hi

I had signed a non disclosure with an australian company for a really simple idea regarding Software as a Service for service bookings for various businesses like doctors hair dressers, equiptment rental etc. We had a few meetings and shared ideas. I decided to quit the project due to feasibility issues and terminate my non disclosure with the company. What will be the legal issues against me incase i launch a similar product since its so common, the ideas will differ form their product based on the documents ideas we shared also we didnot start any coding and i didnt have any access to their code what so ever also not paid a cent by the company?

Thank you

Fredrick

Without having read the NDA and fully discussed your discussions with the Australian company it's impossible to fully assess the scope of any restriction it may place on you.
