I applied for US Citizenship back in October 2006 and I still haven’t been called for the interview, I need to know if I can cancel my Citizenship application and stay permanent resident forever,

Hi,
If you have a Green Card with an expiration date or not it doesn't matter, you have to renew it anyway according to the new law. That is the only thing we can say through here without seeing your case.
