living trusts and wills

I want to change my beneficiary on my living trust. Can I type up the changes myself as an addendum, and then have notarized?

In order to ensure that the addendum is valid, it is strongly recommended that you seek legal counsel to assist with its preparation and execution.

You can do it yourself, and follow any additional instructions the trust requires for amendments, but I'd recommend having a wills/trusts attorney do it to make sure it's correct and will do what you want it to do.

An addendum (amendment) to a trust can be prepared by yourself. However, it is advisable that an attorney review or prepare the addendum to adhere to the legality guidelines.
