Legal Question in Disability Law in California

Can coupons or gift cards (all different types) store/manufactured, expire in the state of California?

Please elaborate, too many people posting online like they actually know anything.

Thank you for writing. I typed [california gift card expiration law] into a search engine and the first result was a page from the California Department of Consumer Affairs covering the topic, at least for "gift cards." See also California Civil Code Sections 1749.45-1749.6 (type it in to the search box, or go to www.leginfo.ca.gov to search California law). I don't know of a similar law affecting "coupons," for example a piece of paper that says you get 25 off the price of a loaf of bread at Ralph's. If you had a piece of paper from Ralph's that reflected a store credit, rather than a discount, maybe the gift card law would apply. Or maybe not. There is a different law for telephone calling cards, California Business and Professions Code Section 17538.9.
