Legal Question in Administrative Law in California

Not paying a lawyer

My lawyer (whom I gave a lot of business to last year) sent me a bill for $180. He stated the bill was for a letter he wrote. However, the letter was a duplicate of one he wrote last year (exact same), with the exception of the date at the top. I don't feel I should pay this much money for something that took him 5 minutes at the most to write and send. What should I say in my response to him that states I will not be paying this bill? Thanks for your help

Re: Not paying a lawyer

He did not bill you for the 5 minutes he took to write the letter. He billed you for the knowledge of a lifetime.
