Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California
I understand there was a decision in 2008 (2009?) which forbid the reintroduction of charges after a "defendant" has a plea agreement overturned. I seem to recall it was Greene vs. Superior Court, but I'm not sure.

The defendant does not get out of the charges if a plea deal is set aside, or rejected by the court.
