Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Im addition to personal property at my residence, I also have personal property in a storage facility in another state. A few items in storage have value that would be pique the interest of a Trustee in a Chapter 7. Based on a workup I have done, all my personal property (including everything in storage) will be exempt under CA bankruptcy law. Do I have anything to worry about given that this storage unit is a) in another state, and b) that I've maintained it for years? At this point I am trying to understand whether I would lose any personal property if I filed for Chapter 7. Thank you.

Assuming that your workup is correct and that you've lived in California for long enough to use its exemptions, then no. It does not matter where your property is currently located. Your exempt property would be exempted.
