Legal Question in Business Law in California
Breach of Confidential Information
I am a printing broker. I found a ''trade'' vendor in a ''trade magazine'' I ordered a printing job from him and gave a credit card number. This was August 2007. Yesterday, April 5, 2008, I receive a call from my client saying that the vendorcontactedher directly to collect a bill. He revealed all the wholesale pricing to her. I called him and asked why he called her and not me and reminded him that I paid with a credit card. He checked with his bookkeeper and she never ran the card. I have lost the printing account from my client. I asked him what name he runs his cards under so I can check all my credit card statements (6 dif cards) to mae sure it was not charged. He would not tell me, just told me to send a check.
