Legal Question in Business Law in California

Requested Time Off

I recently took at trip from 4/25-4/28 only need 4/25 and 4/28 off from work. I put my request in writing in the begining of March before a schedule for April was created. My GM told me that if I was on the schedule I needed to get coverage I told her there was no schedule for April and she told me not to worry about it. However; on 4/25 I got a text message from my ops sup asking me if I had coverage. I told her I should not have been on the schedule and she replied with ''your sifts are a consistant schedule so even if you requested the time off you need to get coverage.'' No one told me this before I left, if I have requested the time off and was granted it, am I still responisble for fiding coverage or is it my Manager or Ops Sups responsibility?

Re: Requested Time Off

This is an internal business question, not a legal question. If you are asking whether you can sue them if they fire you, probably, will you be successful, depends on the facts but my guess is no.
