We have a coproration, xyz, inc and a business of the same name. We would like to sell the assets of the business, including the name, but keep the corp. Can that be done? How?

Re: sale of business assets
You do a bulk sale. Have a purchase and sale agreement that addresses all issues. I have done these, let me know if you want help.

Re: sale of business assets
You would have to have the corporation sell the assets (including the name) under an agreement that obligated it to amend its corporate name to some other name after the closing. This is not hard to do. You can also look at our website for the general procedures to follow in selling assets in a small business (http://www.grellas.com/faq_small_business_007.html).
