Two years for a personal injury claim under current law. However, the law was changed a few years ago from one year for a personal injury claim, and it would require further research (and perhaps a court) to determine which statute of limitation would apply -- the old or the new. In any case, the statute was tolled (never ran) until the plaintiff reached age 18.

Doesn't matter the plaintiff's age, the statute is two years for personal injury. Either learn how to defend yourself in court or get an attorney if you acknowledge you don't know how to handle the litigation process. Feel free to contact me if you need legal help, and the case is in SoCal. The value of plaintiff's case is determined by his injuries and financial damages.
