never being charged with a crime my name is being slandered as if convicted how do i approach such a case what evidence do I need

More facts are needed. Who is slandering you? Is it someone in your community, a newspaper, etc.?

If someone is accusing you of having been convicted of a crime, the fact that you never were might be enough evidence. You would need evidence, though, that this person was saying things about you to others, the approximate dates these were communicated, and the circumstances.
