Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

nosy neighbor

How can I file harassment and invasion of privacy? We are renting our house and she calls on everything like animal control, the owner and she is trying to get our property manager fired from her job. Isn't that blackmail? Please help we want to live in peace!

Re: nosy neighbor

I dont think what you are describing would be considered blackmail. It may be considered a form of harassment, but it doesnt sound criminal in nature. Depending on the specific facts you may be able to bring an action against your neighbor in small claims court or you can hire a lawyer to write your neighbor a letter advising her of your rights.
