Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

My school accused me cheating in a class which I had never taken because someone sent me an E-book version of the textbook. The textbook doesnt have answers keys on the back of the book while the E-book does. If this situation affects my college application, no matter how big the affection is, can I sue the school? Plus, I am an international student and a bunch of other international students are under suspicion and they got their school laptops taken away while some American students who have the E-book in their laptops didnt get their laptops taken away.

Sue the school ??

They apparently caught you to be in possession of what they considered contraband 'cheat' materials in class, whether during a test or not. If they made an accurate assessment and notation in your file and records, and imposed reasonable disciplinary action in compliance with school policies, they have done nothing wrong.

If you can somehow prove that ONLY you and other similar minority classmates were penalized, despite both you and non minorities being CAUGHT and PROVEN to have the same materials, then you could have a discrimination claim.

If you think you can prove all that through credible and admissible witness testimony or documents, and if you are serious about hiring counsel to pursue legal action for discrimination, feel free to contact me to discuss the facts and costs of doing so.
