Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in California

First let me state that I am not a criminal and have never been in any illegal activities. Last year I filed an police officer misconduct case with the city of long beach police department and I was told all of my info would be confidential, since filing I along with my family members have been harrased in many ways by this cities police dept. and surrounding cities police department. What is my best option for seeing that all of the harrasment stops?

Have a lawyer with experience in Long Beach police misconduct cases, such as myself, write them a letter on my letterhead and tell them to cut it out. But they may still come over and break your bones.

Moving. No one can honestly assure you that anything they can do will make it stop, since you can not 'control' the officers. IF you can prove what you say and prove all the legal issues required to win a suit, then you might recover damages. Suing might make the PD management issue warnings to all officers, but that is illusory at best. If laws and rules and edicts prevented crimes and controlled behavior, then we would have no crime, right?? We have plenty of crimes, despite the laws. If serious about suing, and if you have proper proof of claims, feel free to contact me.
