Legal Question in Constitutional Law in California

I received a questionaire from the census bureau called The American Community Survey

which I ignored. A few weeks later I received another with a warning that I could be fined $5000

for not answering the unbelievably intrusive questions.

Please advise me of my rights in this matter. Can i really be fined $5000?

I answered your question last week. So did two other LawGuru attorneys. The answer -- that you are legally required to complete and return the survey and that you really can be fined $5,000 if you don't -- has not changed since then.
