Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

Hi,

I have a question about rebate fail from STAPLES. I received by mail the check on 06/02/11 from STAPLES. I took the check to the bank. The bank cleared the check from STAPLES. On 06/07/11 The bank pull out the money from my account (the amount of rebate) and the bank gave me a fee $10 because returned check. I called the bank, the bank said the check have a problem. I sent message by mail to STAPLES about the check, they don't want pay me because they said i already take the check to the bank. I feel like the STAPLES fail giving me the rebate. I sent message again to the STAPLES, but they said the bank have their money. I never seen the rebate from STAPLES since the check return (since bank pull out from my account).

How i can report this case?

Is not about amount of rebate. But if they do this to a 100 people, that's mean they have a big corruption of money from rebate fail.

Contact the Better Business Bureau and they can refer you probably to the Department of Consumer Affairs. Write to Staples corporate office and tell them--pointing out that the bank does not have any money from Staples as that is why it was taken out of your account.
