Legal Question in Consumer Law in California

I purchased a nutritional supplement based on the offer of a rebate making the final cost acceptable to me. After purchasing the product and submitting the rebate request, the company refused to honor the rebate stating that the original purchase price was not at a high enough price to be accepted. There is no mention on the rebate offer that the product must be purchased at X price to recieve the rebate. I made a purchase decision on a consumable product based on the rebate & original purchase price...now the company is renigging. I assume they have done this to 1000's of others too as this a large, well known company that sells product on a global basis. I am in California. How do I file a complaint against this decieving practice of this company?

File against them in Small Claims court. You need to determine the proper city to bring the lawsuit is where the contract was entered into, or where the defendant has their principal place of business.

If you paid by credit card, dispute the charge within 60 days of receiving your statement with the charge on it. Your other option is to contact a firm that specializes in class actions and see if they think the case has merit.
